The narrative begins with the turmoil brought about by demons in the Cangyuan realm, along with the distress experienced by humans. The main character, Meng Chuan, took a pledge to seek revenge for his mother early in life. Initially, he was a student at the Mirror Lake Taoist Temple, where he exacted justice on the evil and vanquished the demon group with his steadfast and firm sword skills. Over time, he rose to become the most formidable individual among the four primary Taoist temples, gained renown in Dongning Prefecture, and was revered as a deity at Yuanchu Mountain.
